RIPPER shotgun rig, including first person arms IK rig and reload animations
About the assets:
Unique futuristic shotgun. Made in Blender. First person IK rig included as well as all reload animations for weapon and arms. Using the official Blender Rigify humanoid rig.
Weapon and arms are fully unwrapped, rigged and animated. All .blend files are included, and all meshes and animations are also exported as .fbx files.
About the rig:
The humanoid rig has been modified slightly by adding a weapon control bone influencing the hand IK controllers. The hierachy of the humanoid rig is preserved to be compatable with all first- and third person rigs, who are using the rigify hierachy.
General information:
This asset is part of a larger project, where i was responsible for modeling and animation. From this project I will release other fully rigged and animated weapons as well as characters and decoration assets ranging from nature over props to buildings. After the cleanup process they can be found on my gumroad page.
Lore of the weapon: Three magazines are attached to a rotating frame. When the bottom mag is empty, instead of replacing the magazine the user can rotate the frame quickly by 120 degrees to access the next magazine in line. Mags can be reloaded individually after a fight.
Disclaimer: the animations of the weapon have to imported into your game engine of choice scaled up by a hundred. Up to this day the Blender fbx exporter has problems exporting animations at a correct scale. I have used asset for years and this hasnt been a problem, but I have also added my email in the readme file. If you encounter any issues using this asset, feel free to contact me.
